i've had the R27 for over 11 years now, and the 200 for about a month, I do love a Renaultsport Clio.

Here's my Twingo Mk1, a 1998 model imported from Germany a couple of years ago. Left hand drive of course, daft colour, slightly odd interior but massively practical and a bit different.

Thats very exciting and something I think I would have gravitated to were my youthful self around now. Post some more pics, but not of your morning glory.

Hello,

Having just seen this thread , I thought I’d add mine into the mix.

Having had quite a varied car history, I’ve had a couple of Frenchie’s through the years.
I had a 99 306 Meridian. Electrical gremlins galore and ended up a bit of a nightmare. I then had a 00 306 XS in china blue, which was super reliable and I sold to my brother. It was still seen on the roads as late as 2021…

I now run a 308 GT Line as my daily. Coming from a Merc C300 AMG Line Premium Plus, I thought it would be a massive shock to the system but it’s been a great car. Some slightly scratchy plastics here and there but kit level is good, it’s plenty fizzy enough for a 1.2 petrol and is comfy and does the job.

I think they are ageing well because they are looking weirder!

I liked the colour at the time and still do!

My scruffy, rattling, leaky 20 year old Clio going down paddock hill. It's a brilliant car.

New French wagon.

A clio ‘esprit de alpine’ complete with bike carrier to ferry bike to triathlons. Replaces a real alpine ( a110 legende ) as needed a second car with back seats and a boot.

Nice bit of kit, fantastic seats and a punchy hybrid engine.

Well it’s only a clio so I don’t think will get much interest from the readers ride thread!

Lots of things to like about the car. The Alpine trim stuff is good in most parts bar the plastic wheel things. The seats/ French flag details etc are all well done. The car welcomes you on the info screen with the alpine logo etc.

The hybrid engine is excellent- it is a 4 speed auto but pretty good as a transmission. Especially good are the heated seats and steering wheel which are bloody hot on cold day. Infotainment system is also excellent and all major controls like aircon / heated seats are all on physical buttons and dials which is good. Ride is quite soft.’
Down side - back seats are tight. Fine for kids for short journeys but not good for adults. The infamous Renault key card remains. The bike rack whistles in the wind but is easy to take off and on.
