Citroen C3 Coolant issue

Hello, I've noticed my OH's C3 (07 1.4 8v petrol) loosing some coolant for the last few months, having to top off every few weeks... this weekend after not checking it for a few weeks the level was down to the bottom of the expansion tank, which is the lowest I've seen it drop... also checking the oil cap there was a fair amount of mayo/sludge but none on the dipstick oil.
The belt (or accessory? )is also chirping a bit (not full-on squeal though) and the Engine Fault light has come on a coupe of times (once going into limp mode)... but then fine after a reset.
At first I was thinking the worst, as in Head Gasket, but then also perhaps leaking water pump or rad?
I changed the oil in the summer, and the car has mainly been used on short town trips this winter...

Not that I know of on the coolant change, she's had it about 4 years and it's not in the history, I was going to put it on the list for this year's jobs. I've topped up with OAT which I presume is correct for this engine.
Mostly short trips this winter, though some motorway blasts every few months.
I meant to add, no sign of oil in the expansion tank...
