Please can someone give me some advice, I bought a renault Grand Scenic January 2014. The thing broke down within three hours, the car went back to the garage and they repaired it, they said "Cambelt tensioner had broken up causing the belt to break" It has happened again, just under 12 months and 20,000 miles later. Now the garage have changed there mind and have said it was the bottom pulley that initially broke up in 2014. I`ve asked for a bill of materials for the repair carried out in 2014. They informed me that the initial repair has a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, I find this to be a short period of time and a low mileage for a belt warranty, I intend to chase this issue, thoughts please,

As a 'renault Grand Scenic' is not a Boat, Plane or Train I suspect you are in the wrong forum.
Try 'Engines and drivetrain'

Maybe he's wanting to fit a merlin engine to it to replace the current engine. I would go for an Olympus with a scenic though.
