..Just interested to hear people's views on how much better the second gen motorsport Megane is than the first one. The R26 F1 seems really good value at the moment, £6-7.5K will get you one with average miles, whereas the cheapest 250s are still at least £10K which equates to incredible residuals for a 5 year old French hot hatch. I have always felt the R26 F1 is a very under-rated car. It won every road test in its short life but was then totally overshadowed by the R26R which lets face it is only the same car minus a bit of weight and trick tyres (ok maybe a bit more but you get the picture)....

Had both currently In 250 Cup.

The F1 R26 felt lighter to me and more chuckable, loved it to bits awesome car.

My 250 Cup is also a qulaity car, not as chuckable in my opinion but more refined and great as a everyday car.

I think reliability wise the Mk3 megane is a step above the mk2, fairly bullet proof.

for 6-7k I would go for a mint F1....

The R26 is an awesome piece of kit. Very under-rated. I'd thoroughly recommend one.

Only sold my for an R - which was epic when you were in the mood - but nowhere near as good an all-rounder.

Often find myself looking at the meganesports for sale on here, do miss them. A 250/265 is an interesting option now as prices fall. Think i'd opt for as new as I could afford tbh.
