These seem like nice cars but how come they are so cheap? I remember reading a while ago about the Laguna being very unreliable, would this be the case for a 2005 1.9 diesel 120?

yes, 1.9 120dci eat turbo's ,bottom end prone to spinning crank bearings{knocking}, phase ll has electronic handbrake{ £800 new}that does fail, windows regulators that fail, and common uch failure{ cheaply made electronic box that controls everything on renaults}.
130dci has much better turbo though.
150dci's 2.0 better engine again, but hard to get as people buying them for the m9r engine which fits the vivaro van. an m9r costs £1200 second hand{bare} so people snapping up laguna 150dci for peanuts ,selling the engine and throwing the rest away.
