Well I bought the car. I checked WBAC for a price and it suggested £19k. I paid £20k. Its a NAV with Cup, 18"s and Recaros. 1 year old in November with 7000 miles, felt it was worth paying that as Ive had my eye on Megs for 3 months and not had the right one come up.

Properly excited. And my god its good to be back in a Renault. Quality item (jk). Will end up fitting the CAE shifter to it I expect as the stock shifter is dreadful.

Mike, try fitting the trophy gearknob. It transformed the gearchange for me.

In what way? Is it heavier?

Yeah. It's metal, and is a little bit heavier, makes the change a lot smoother, and makes it feel more chunky, if that makes sense.

It was just the gating that was the issue.

I knew how it would feel before I even drove it. The knob itself is fine its just I found it difficult to find gears during the test drive.

Ill get used to it or fit the CAE.

Anyone else having their insurance company insisting on a tracker?

Currently insured with a Scouse Queen, renewal came through. Still running the Skoda. Called them up, informed them that I would need to change policy details once the new car arrived and wanted a ballpark figure for the that. Got the quote, all good.
Delivery date comes forward, I phone them to arrange cover to start from then. Am now being told that the car won't be covered for theft unless a tracker is put on the car?!
So what changed in 5 days?

Thanks for that.

Really odd that when I use the Meerkats the Scouse Queen comes top, zero mention of 'you won't be covered for theft'?!
