They're standard fit aren't they?

Amazing spec that, would have been perfect for me, even down to the best colour. Pricey though.

Thanks for that. Hadn't realised, thought it was an optional extra. Looking online seems the reverse camera is but sensors are a given! Thought for a moment the lease company had chucked me a freebie!

Great spec for the final car - apart from the colour it looks to be the same as mine which is due in September.

I’m intrigued to know where my car is now as it must have been built before 6th July but won’t be at my local dealer for another couple of weeks.

Is this normal and how come Arnold Clark have their car for sale already?

Sprayed a load of megs qd on a microfibre and rubbed the door seals all over and the creaking has stopped.

Also got the 245 40 18 supersports fitted today and the grip already is insane. My God the grip is ridiculous. Barely any difference size wise between the 245 and the 235 40 18 ps2's I can post photos to compare if needed.

Going in for tracking at wheels in motion as my steering wheel is out a little.
Hi Mike, I'd be interested in a comparison photo of the 245 PSS vs the 235 PS2 smile

Anyone else unable to order a paint touch up kit? Local Renault dealer says no paint available with that code?!

Ill get some pics at some point. But theres virtually nothing in it.

So no one has any issues with the gearboxes? Say youre in a built up area and changing from 2nd to 3rd, do you hear the gearbox changing gear? Not an issue with syncros but sounds like the linkages are buggered. Its loud, theres a little crunch when entering the gears too but not one that sounds like the syncros are done. Just plodding along and changing slowly is the best time to hear it.

I think im going to get it good and properly broken then take it into renault.

They all tend to sound like a junction signal box, the gear change on my Harley felt slicker. They seem to be up to the job though, lots of people running 300-360hp through them and not hear of breakages.

I've got similar. It sounds like a sequential box when I engage first, a proper "thunk" and as you said, I'm going to wait until it gets worse before getting Renault to look at it. I might, come service time in Dec, chuck it at them and tell them to replace the Gbox oil, see if that does anything.

Could be the diff making noise, not the gearbox

Mine is grinding on both sides under hard cornering, o/s front wheel is further back in the arch than n/s, car whines and grinds at 40+mph and wanders badly under hard braking. Suspected lower wishbone bush failure. The cars 5 weeks old. It's booked into Renault next week.

+1 on the standard seats, much better than anticipated and provide a good amount of lateral support. Very comfy to boot.

Got Pagids fitted now and Ohlins ordered. If anyone wants a low mileage set of Cup springs and dampers then give me a shout.

Ill start data logging to see if performance drops off as temps increase.
FYI Ive cancelled the Ohlins order as the supplier originally said two weeks and its been four so far and counting. Still no firm due date. They were from this company:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-GENUINE-Renault-Spor...

They refunded me immediately. Ive faith that they're a legit business but its a concern when they dont have the Ohlins in stock and its taking over a month to get them. Exactly where are they coming from with that lead time? Anyway, if you dont mind waiting they seem a safe business to deal with. Or if you want any other Megane parts. Pads, discs etc.

Do the dampers not come with springs?? Thanks for the heads up.

Also did you find if there was any derating you said you would log to see if there was any power loss??

When you switch the car on in the morning when it's cold does the car idle like st for a few seconds? If I blip the throttle on mine it feels like it has a fueling issue. As though it starts spluttering or misfiring. Then after 20 seconds it's fine. That normal too?

I have the same. It seems like it doesn't know how to idle properly. It's odd.

Yeh.... again. That's just how they are. More a characteristic of the cold mapping on the f4r engines as the Clios are the same.

Thanks both. Appreciate the responses I know I am being a pain in the ass asking all this stuff.

Had 4 wheel alignment done at wheels in motion last weekend and the car is spot on now.
