Bonjourno having trouble with the wife's pug was running fine yesterday then this morning didn't want to start cranks over have taken the cambelt topcover over & the belt is not turning when it cranks over has anybody ever had a similar problem

If the camshaft is not turning when you crank the engine it's obviously stripped teeth off the cambelt.
If so that's bad news,you will have bent valves for sure.Cylinder head off and a valve job.

Yes the teeth usually shear off at the crankshaft pulley so the cambelt looks fine at the camshaft sprocket.. only it's not moving when the crankshaft is! This seems to be more of a problem with the cambelt auto-tensioner cars after 2002 when they reduced the diameter of the pulleys, so putting the same load on fewer teeth. All your valves will be bent and the piston tops will be dented but should be ok. A second-hand head might be cheaper than fitting new valves
