C3 Picasso - Anybody got one?

And what's it like as a long term owner? Piled way over 1500km in a week on a brand new hired diesel one on holiday and was impressed - very impressed.

Any thoughts - either good or bad and ugly, well yes actually it is but never mind. This could be a candidate for replacing our ancient Berlingo.

I'd already worked that out for myself but nonetheless thank you for your priceless contribution and in depth analysis of the merits or otherwise of various Citroen models.

Now: I don't want a C4 - it's way too big and the last one I drove despite being almost brand new had a engine that sounded like a skip full of scrap metal tumbling down a concrete stairwell and I don't want a Cactus as I haven't taken anywhere near enough hallucinogenic drugs to be in tune with the visual vibes just yet.

So, up for consideration is the C3 Picasso. Anyone else?

Well its up to you but my sister had exactly the same dilemma, hence my reply, from a Berlingo they wanted to go to a C3 picasso, told them it was too small as they have 2 kids and I use to have a C3 so know how big they are not, the cactus was on their list but they didnt like the radical design, which left the C4 Picasso, it basically has the room of the Berlingo but a bigger boot and more practical, take the advice if you want but the C3 Picasso is minute inside compared to the Berlingo and the C4 Picasso keeps winning awards... look for ex demo/low mileage ones, cheaper than you think, even from a main dealer.

I have just swapped a 2009 C5 Tourer 2.2hdi for a 2011 C3 Picasso; I'm doing lots more miles and needed better economy. The C3 is obviously smaller and much less refined but it has more passenger space in the back and the sliding rear seats give the option between rear load space and leg room. I wanted a Berlingo but my wife said no. I like the C3, it's a good car but I will miss the ultimate capacity of the c5 sometimes. The only problem I have found so far is the drivers seat is quite narrow and no arm rest is driving me mad.

Were you confusing a standard C3 with a C3 Picasso? They are a totally different car. When you look at the size of the C3 Picasso - there is nothing around of that size that has more passenger room (headroom, legroom etc) at all. The boot isn't huge (in standard postion of the floor and seats), but in terms of passenger space - the C3 Picasso is!

Berlingo is indeed bigger again but it is bigger - as is the C4.

But to call a C3 Picasso cramped - absolutely no way!
