Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum. Wasn't sure where to post this here or in the engine section but anyway.
I have a Megane Coupe 1.6 16v 02 reg and i love it to bits, my pride and joy.
I am going to take it into a garage next week but hopefully someone might be able to help me with whats up with it currently.
I had the engine steam cleaned a few weeks ago, in order to find where an oil leak was coming from (a garage did this not me) and in the process it managed to take out one of the coil's, they replaced this for me which was great, but that evening the car started to judder a lot, i thought it was the coil again, but no turned out it was a spark plug, happy days sorted.
But a few weeks on its starting to judder again, but the differences against when i have had for example a coil go are this time it:-
1. Only judders when the engine has warmed up fully. (Seems to be fine when cold)
2. Doesn't try and cut out as it does when a coil goes.
3. Struggles / judders when excellerating from low rev's, say up to 1,500, but is fine when over 2k or there abouts.

And well thats the differences i've noticed anyway.

I thought it cud be the exhaust blowing, but wudn't it be doing this from cold too? So i'm not so sure i'm right now.

The engine warning light hasn't come on.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I want to be more clued up on whats happening biggrin

Thanks in advance, and if i'm missing anything that needs answering let me know.

Paul

By what you've said it could possibly be your Lambda sensor that's at fault.

uve had to learn the old way, i had a golf mk2 once and me and a mate thought it would be a good idea to steam clean the engine....how wrong we were. ended up having to scrap it (RIP) as we messed it up big time. in future id clean it with a cloth some GUNK (good to get rid of erm well gunk) and a good bit of elbow greese. good luck anyways and let us know how u get on
