Hi

Having some problems with my C5 aircon Fan.

Fan comes on when car starts then goes off again and will not work at all.

Has any other owners experienced this and how did you fix it ?

Thanks for any replies

Sounds like the fan control unit. This is located in the front passenger footwell on the side of the transmission tunnel. I think it's just a plug-in unit. Sometimes it just needs unplugging, cleaning up a bit to make sure the contacts are ok and then plug it back in.

If that fails you may need a new unit, think it costs around £35-£40, I had mine replaced under warranty about a year ago, so can't remember the exact figure!

Thanks for your replies gentlemen. Citroen are quoting around 150 for the unit.

Is that the fitted price? Mine was about £80 fitted, since it was covered by the warranty I let them do it, but I remember the parts price was around £40. If that's the case, maybe you should consider ringing around some other garages who don't have rip-off labour rates smile

Some garages charge for an hour even though the job only takes 10 or 15 minutes rolleyes
