I’m running the car along side my Z4C.The cars been here 5 months now .Previously too today I’ve only driven the car a handful of times.First thoughts last night as I jumped in was all good it’s quite a decent place to be even if its not designed for someone of my build, I’m either to close for my legs of too faraway from the wheel.

The engine sounds like bag of spanners when cold but does settle into a peppy ‘sporty’ rasp, mostly made up of induction roar by the sounds of it. The gearbox has an artificial feel to it. It’s as if they have added weight to the shift for some reason, it don’t hide that fact that it’s a long travelling wand like thing to use. The engine, making 125BHP, needs a good amount of rev’s before it does anything. Any sense of speed, relatively speaking of course, comes in the final 3K rev’s.

And god its noisy when making progress on duel carriageways. At 73MPH it’s pulling 4K Revs. The handling is on the fun side of good as you mosh your way down the road. The tight set-up and short wheelbase make it pogo on poor roads, got to be good for the neck muscles I say. On to my biggest criticism of the car the brake pedal feels like stepping on a wet sponge. The rest I’ll wear given that it’s a small car but the brake feel is V poor, it hisses away when pushed.

To summarise when your phone, and head, are buzzing mad and you simply need to get places quick, this was most definitely today, it’s tiresome.

There great little cars!

Iv had a lot done on mine including new suspension set up and 4-1 GMC manifold and Kent cams. and tracked it 5 times now and it holds its own around a track and embarrasses some bigger cars too.

And i like the look of the VTS loeb with the red seats and little loeby stickers all over the place.

if you need any advice on your car at anytime jump over too www.c2sportsclub.com

byebye Another C2 owner here I thought I was the only one on PH. I have a vts which is like the Loeb minus the extra decals and yes I would mirror all your comments on the car particularly the brakes and gears, most modern small cars seem to suffer from over servoing and lack of feel these days so thats to be expected but the imo the c2 is way under geared, I'm guessing Citroen made it so to keep the 0-60mph sprint semi respectable compared to the its faster and crucialy lighter predecesser the saxo. I have also had tons of recalls and other problems but then I suppose you gets what you pay for. But yes it is good fun on a twisty road. smile

Your right the VTR does only make 110BHP. We are talking about the byloeb/VTS!

Yeah the gearing is super short. I had the shift light come on at 115 yesterday.

I also own a vts, the only thing that annoys me about the car is the fact it is less than a year old and has been un the garage 4 times for the same problem! bit of a joke really! but when it works its ace and more than capable of embarrasing some bigger cars!

The nuts on the inlet manifold are prone to coming loose (the vts/loeb/code are the only models that have this type of manifold) they then snap the bolts meaning yet another week in the garage waiting for the bloke to re-thread the manifold bolts, its a very distinct noise that is created usually a whistle noise! luckily its all fixed under warranty but surely thats not the point on a car thats less than a year old!! but apart from that i like my little car.
