My 306's brake pedal has alot of travel and the rears do little. It has had new rear pads on oldish discs and I don't think they have worn in properly yet.

Would a faulty load sensing valve cause excess travel on the pedal? I've replaced the fluid and bled the brakes so the only other things to check are the valve or the Master cylinder. Any ideas?

Air in the system is the usual cause of long travel. Try raising the rear of the car when bleeding the back brakes.
