I had to drop a friend at an Alfa garage earlier today to pick up his Fiat 500 which decided that it could only be arsed with half of the 'stop start' programme.
I had to park around the back where the MOT area is, and when I returned there were 4 blokes around my car. I thought they'd be angry that I parked there but to my surprise and quiet delight they wanted to ask about the car as none of them had seen one before.
I guess, driving it every day, I forget how unusual it really is.

I have no sound at work, but looks like a glaring error right at the start. Yours is the 2.7 iirc, the 3.0 didn't come out till later.S10GTA said:

Actually I didn't notice that!! But yes, you're right - also the 'spoiler trick' is in completely the wrong order, despite me correcting him on the day. Cheers
Well it was a great four years but the C6 was traded a few months ago for a runabout (civic) and that was later traded for an E39 520.
The car was starting to show its age, in particular the headlight failed and was replaced with a new unit under warranty (unit cost £1000) and the replacement unit failed within a month and I got fed up of sorting it.
Bit annoying that I had only just put new tyres on but such is life.
Ended up getting a fairly low value for the car (it took them ages to work out what they'd offer, nobody had seen one before!) but I walked away with a smile and good memories of an epic motoring escapade which looking back on was filled with fun and actually relatively trouble free, all things considered.
Actually I didn't walk away, I drove, in a Civic S. Got bored of that (missed 'wafting') and got the BMW a month or so ago, which is excellent and almost long enough.

Weirdly since driving the BMW I've seen what MUST have been my C6 driving around in Bath (DVLA shows it was taxed in Jan) and then I saw my Civic a week later near home in York!
Really glad someone bought the 6; all too often they are broken... Hope the new owner enjoys the fruits of my suspension rebuild!!
