Haha, love the car park pic! By the way it's the infidel here, can't believe you have almost had it for a year now, nice one.

I was in this section whilst doing some 'research' on the 182 cup, thinking of changing the mx-5 but I don't really have much cash to spare as I'm pumping everything into a house deposit fund. Couldn't believe stumbling into your thread of pure awesomeness and thought 'that's it after all these years of browsing pistonheads I have to register now!'

I think Jason Statham had the wrong cars in the Transporter films, clearly it should've been a C6!

Seriously I just watched the Transporter 3 and I couldn't believe how ste it was. If he had a C6 I would have slammed mine into a ditch.

It was featured on 'Spooks' recently though

...and as far as I can remember/like to imagine, your job is basically like Spooks, right?

Awesome. I would go with the 'like to imagine' part haha. You know I don't think I have ever actually seen a C6 on the road and checking autotrader there are only 37 for sale in the UK, pretty rare car you've got there. Ever spotted another?

Am I seeing that right? The C6 has pillarless doors? cool

Stunning looking motor, they definitely look best in black, just like the CX did! It's nice to see someone really enjoying their car.

I actually have a load of pictures at home that I took of the concept version of this when it was on the Citroen stand at the British Motorshow at Earls Court back in 1999, I loved it when I first saw it.

That's right, pilarless doors. They froze up one morning though!

To be honest, a shed would look good with pillarless doors. Must admit, I hadn't realised the C6 had these.

Don't suppose they did one of these with a 3 litre V6 did they?

The latest model has the 3.0 Jag V6 turbodiesel in it.
They used to do a 3.0 V6 petrol too.

Looking at these comments.....

why dont they sell more of them ? I think its ignorance

I find German cars so boring, i cant beleive anyone can drive one & call themselves a car enthusiast.

Anyway, they do a nice C5 3.0V6 HDi, full leather & glass roof - I would buy that new, or the C6 used. The C6 is just gorgous

I'm currently in my 4th C5 Tourer since they came out, never had anything go wrong at all & i drive 40k a year.

Ive seen the motor show C6 with designer hand stitched leather & split rim alloys !!

Anyway.....lets see some more buyers out there

Nice to hear you are enjoying the C5. I had a good look at an estate in a lovely pearl white which was nice. It was actually better equipped than the C6, because they took so long developing the 6 by the time it came out things like the SatNav were a bit out of date.

I think a large part of why you normally see BMWs and Audis is the 'company car' culture in the UK. Personally I would have a car allowance instead and choose my own car but I guess most people who don't aren't really interested and just want something easy. Fair enough. But boring!

The C6 has the same satnav that my old C4 VTS coupes had, every now and then it would blackout & re-boot leaving you in KM instead of mph for a minute, then come back to life..... they all do that sir !

Still love the C6 and what a bargain they are used

I haven't ever had a problem with my RT4 satnav (yet!) apart from one time it orientated the map with North up rather than orientating around the vehicle. I thought it was quite funny. A short voice command to the slave woman who lives in the glovebox and it was all sorted.

"Display... Navigation... Orientation.... Vehicle" or something

Oh an one other time It took me the wrong way up a narrow one way bit and ended up blocking in a bus with no clear view to reverse, so everyone made way for the '6!! haha

I need to grow a spine and buy one of these. I looked at a few on the net before buying an Octavia. When I can find one for about 8 grand - in black, just like yours - I'll be a happy man. Hell, I'd even put up with the 4 cylinder derv lump in the front. This is, without doubt, the pinnacle of cruising saloon car style.

Also saw one lounging around in Paris. Even in a city as full of style and beauty as Paris, it still stood as a thing of beauty.

My dad bought a Xantia new which I inherited when he died. Non-turbo XUD - 0-60 in something like 16 seconds. But I still loved it to bloody pieces. And that magic carpet ride...

Well done mate - Vive La Difference.
