I guess we're talking about later clios then, as the earlier ones were certainly as i stated.

Davebem I think you need to go back to engineering school if you think you can compress pre-distanced bearings by tightening the hubnut so as to collapse them.You could tighten them to 27500nm and not overtighten hardened bearing steel.The inner races meet from each side and cannot be adjusted as it is a sealed cartridge bearing.Even an adjustable bearing would collapse under 275nm tightening force,they are normally adjusted finger tight then locked with an adjusting washer and split pin.
