That does look very nice. Even the plastic trim looks spot on (205 driver and closet 309 fan!)

Seeing the new pics of the underside i'm even more impressed, and at the same time a little jealous as i dont think my 205 GTI will ever look that good. There's clearly been a lot of serious time & effort gone into the restoration for a fantastic result cool

i took it to the local peugeot main dealer last year for it's m.o.t biglaugh

shocked was an under statement! it was even commented by the techs there, that it was better than new. but

the car actually failed! weeping

i couldn't believe it either! all because the new washer jets i'd fitted, didn't squirt on the screen, and the button for the rear foglight, didn't light up whistle

so after adjusting the jets, and fitting a new bulb to the switch, she had a clean bill of health

so far, i've only done about 400 miles in it

Hi jord294,Go to www.clubpeugeotuk.org and join up,with that car you will be one of the star members. It would certainly have been on their stand at the classic car show in the NEC (thats my 404 cabriolet). When you can get into the club site have a look at the club`s mag` "The Peugeotist" back issue`s no 140 & 141.They published my story of our 205GTi "The Story of BNG" which the late Richard Burns won the Peugeot GTi Rally Championship in 1990&1991.I did the original build and then restored it in 2005 for the Richard Burns Collection, which also has his works Group A 309 16V.It would be great to swop note`s.

As you have to be a member to read back issues,in the mean time on the CPUK site click image galleries and then competition and you will find pics of our 205GTi,anyone can do this.

Outstanding.

I nearly bought one once but it was nowhere near as nice as yours.
