Can you check these?- the first 2 in the first link
http://cars.trovit.co.uk/used-cars/bentley-arnage-...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-BENTLEY-ARNAGE-GREE...
Also this is Arnage list i recall - note it has LWB and RL listed -although i admit having a LWB and RL doesn't make sense- i double checked and magazines at time also list same
http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/motoring/car-specifica...
I'm not claiming any of above are gospel - but merely trying to clarify the situation.

All those cars advertised as Green Labels are 99 model year Arnage's, check out the wheels, light lens and lack of sat nav which pops up on the top roll.( dash top ) As for the WiseBuyer's guide, I think this is just a mish mash of prices from different model years and not a good guide at all.

I'd love to come across a real one, although I wouldn't know how to value it.

I suspect those 3 adverts would warrant the attention of Trading standards?

I think it is now widely accepted within public and trade alike that all of the 4.4 BMW cars are just referred to as green label even though the early cars were never officially called this, the early 6.75 Arnages were called red label and from 01/51 the range was referred to as R and T, our R was a 51 plate car but 02 model, a well known car as it was the actual car used in the brochures for the 02 model year (sunset with oat mill and chrome wheels) I still have 2 huge dealer prints featuring the car down on the garden route in south Africa where they pho graphed the ca for the brochures and publicity shots

Hello again guys, been really all the replies and im more knowledgeable now.

I've been looking at a Bentley Arnage T - excellent interior, looks great.
52 plate, around 50,000 miles - £25,000. I've talked to a dealer and he says the "book price" is £28,500 (to buy as a dealer) and worth around £30,000+ on the forecourt.

Does it sound a bit fishy?

London, a whole 4 hours drive away, you gotta live with that car, drive the journey and forget friends, you got no friends when you buy a car.

As said before I'd have any car inspected before you buy.My car was mint but needed a hydraulic service,a couple of engine oil and PAS leaks sorting, corroded brake pipes front to rear replacing, exhaust box brackets replacing and a new air con rad and regas.Brakes, tyres and everything else was spot on but the bill for that little lot came to £8k at a specialist.I imagine it would be easy to spend £10k+ to bring a substandard car up to scratch.
