bergxu,

Firstly, congratulations!

I have a lady popping over from NZ later this year and the top place on the list is Oxford. It's a place that America seemed obsessed with, but the American tourists seem to miss the best bits.

You should attach this to your London trip by using the "Oxford Tube" bus service. 24 hour service from the centre of Oxford to the centre of London - i've transferred both ways many times after lots of fine wine and food.

I can list pubs, museums, colleges, walks and restaurants you should visit in a specific way if you like?

I still remember one of my friends turning up in his Dad's old 4 cylinder Morgan on Broad Street outside our ball gates and thinking "that's the way you should do it" (nobody else drove or was driven to the ball - vulgar, but what is it about Morgan?).

If I were you I would either do an early start late journey back to London, or I'd stay overnight at either the Randolf Hotel or the Old Bank (both excellent but now chains - so great discounts available in advance).

Perhaps PM for more thoughts?

0a,

Thanks for the tip on Oxford. I've been there myself several years ago, but I think it would be a good place to show her and also thank you for the tip on the bus line, that's helpful indeed.

I'm not sure how to PM though this site, so if you want to email me that's cool. It's QV5000@gmail.com

Cheers,
Aaron
