1990 Turbo R alternator

Alex,
Thank you for the suggestions on towns to visit. I've been to Edinburgh myself (I did a semester of college at three different universities in the UK---Edinburgh, U of North London and Trinity in Dublin). We shall certainly try to make Scotland but we only have a week so it'll be busy no doubt!
See this thread for more info on our trip plans

Cheers man. Hope to see you and the Bent at the Ace!! I'll keep Piston Heads posted with updates when I do our itinerary!

Aaron,
Thanks for directing me to your wedding itinerary-a very interesting read! I also have a 2001 Jaguar XJR-to keep the Bentley company
I've not been to RAF Cosford myself, but I've passed the link road to it many times & I know it's worth seeing. The closest main city there is Birmingham & from where you're staying, I would estimate the journey taking around 3 hours by car.
The Imperial War Museum at Duxford is closer to London-it's near Cambridge. It's a big aircraft museum with 5 hangars-I've been there several times. They have a vast amount of aircraft there & a purpose built hangar filled with American aircraft, including the B52, SR-71 Blackbird, B29, B24, B17, P47, P51 & lots of others.
There's a large hangar with British aircraft, including Spitfire, Lancaster, Mosquito, Hurricane, Sunderland flying boat, Vulcan, Harrier, Tornado, prototype Concorde & the experimental supersonic aircraft TSR-2, which was cancelled by the UK government & never went into service.
There's a restoration hangar where you can see people working to restore famous aircraft-last time I was there I was ogling a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine being worked on in a late-model Spitfire
About my own cars-I actually run a small wedding car hire business with the Bentley & Jaguar, as well as using them myself for driving enjoyment. You can visit my business website at: www.avalondreamsweddingcars.co.uk
I have the full Chauffeur's uniform & am a member of the British Chauffeur's Guild of London, as well as being a confirmed petrolhead & car enthusiast
If you are not keen on taking the train from Heathrow airport to Buxted, I could meet you & your wife at the airport in my Chauffeur's uniform, and then take you both in my Bentley Turbo R to the cottage you'll be staying at for the week. So you could get your Turbo R fix whilst in the UK, and your wife could arrive at a 16th century English cottage in a uniformed Chauffeur-driven Bentley
I have a wedding booking for 7th September, so I'm clear for the previous week that you & your wife will be in the UK. Either way, I'll certainly see you at the Ace Cafe in London & we can talk alternators
Regards
Alex
