I wonder if anyone can give me some advice please?
I have had a Conti R for about a year its a 1999 car. The problem I have is with the drivers seat it will not move forward so that passengers can gain access to the rear seats.
I had it looked at in the summer with one or two more jobs at a specialists, he took the seat out sorted it and it worked for about a week then gave up again.
Has anyone had a similar problem and if so what`s the fix please?

Your car has the later BMW 8 Series seats - I don't know if they have similar mechanism to the older seats, as in my own car - if they do, there is an electrical actuator triggered when you press the switch to enable tilting the seat. When you tilt the seat, a micro switch is released at the base of the seat back to trigger the seat to move forward. You need to remove the back of the seat to see both the actuator and the switch clearly.

But, as I say, this is how I found it on the earlier seats - I don't know how the later seats differ in terms of the tilt and move forward and if the micro switches are in the same or similar location.

If the seat tilts but doesn't move forward - but the seat adjustment is working OK, then, obviously, the motors are working OK and I would imagine the micro switch is possibly broken or out of alignment or something like that.
