Surely kids up to the age of 15 can sit in the back of these cars!
Maybe if you have short, er um, height challenged, kids. Our 15 y/o daughter can't fit... at least not comfortably. The Bentley is really a two-seater as there is very little room in the back seats for any long-term arrangement.

I don't own any kids that age!

Are they suitable for any kids?

Sure, children from about 3 to 10 years of age. Think of the rear seats in the VW Group's Bentley GT akin to the rears within a VW Group Porsche 911. They are there, yet not *really* useable for adults/long trips. They are nice for 'spill over' from things that don't quite fit within the trunk or as overflow during a shopping spree.

My kids are 2 and 6! Sounds good to me!

Just need the GT V8 to drop to £70-75k then I am in... well.. still considering the RS6 and 911. Can't make my mind up.

I completely agree.

The warranty is 4.6k!
My main dealer warranty was sub 3k.

That's way too much for me to be honest. That coupled with its heavy depreciation unfortunately its out of my comfort zone.

Lost,

I have a different tale for you. I bought a '05 GT from an indi dealer with full factory history and 50k on the clock, needed a few jobs to bring it up to A1 condition. The car had been in Glasgow and does suffer from being used in salty conditions, fasteners etc

I have done 50k in the car and now face a difficult decision to keep or trade.

The car has had rear pads (£30)
Tyres ( a lot !) I pay £150 each for Pzeros bentley spec
Petrol (lots of it smile ) get 22mpg generally low teens in town
It throws the occasional light spuriously
Disabled the TPMS (PIA)
Changed the wheels to 21" propellors as the originals were shot through corrosion
Fitted Mulliner pedals, gear knob and Jewel filler cap (Thank god for ebay)
Serviced at the garage that look after my other cars
New plugs as a precaution (Std price)
Fitted a rear window regulator (Rubbish design)
Repaired a loom problem on the trunk (£1.50)
removed the rear silencer valve system (Sounds really good )
Fitted new drop links on the front
Fitted a mediabridge adapter and I run an ipad mini through it with nav, media etc.
Biggest issue was a wiper mech failure on the M25 but it is the same mech as almost every other car.

The car looks a million dollars, drives fantastically, is always respected on the road, makes me feel fantastic. Depreciation is minimal, performance is sensational, comfort is legendary and they are very manageable. The software and diagnostics is all VW based.

Things to watch out for

Erratic idle - 3k bill for engine out
Starter - Engine Out
Rear brake light - mostly sorted now
TPMS - Easy fix
Rear spoiler
water in the bulkhead - Really Really nasty through a blocked drain
air suspension - Can rebuild now
Discs are big and unique

Ask if you need to know anything
