It does beg the question, why would anyone with a W12 want to? Just get a W8 instead.

My own feeling is that if you're looking to economise, buying a 2005 GT - even one running on LPG - is not the way to do it.

However, if you insist; try here.

LPG should be fine once you do the proper conversion. I know many people in Brazil who covert their cars to LPG for more power, and it burns cleaner too. Never seen it done on a B tho.

I have a Jeep Commander with the 5.7 Hemi - it has an LPG conversion.

A decent, proper, conversion of a W12 Bentley must surely come in at, well, quite a lot of cash. The Jeep conversion was in the £2500 region for a decent system and quality conversion. If you don't have a proper job done, you will have problems all the time. And the car will run like crap - bearing in mind no petrol engine runs on LPG as well as it does on petrol anyway. (Some people say they run better - but this is Emperor's new clothes stuff)

So you need to be clocking up a lot of miles to justify converting such a car - Personally I wouldn't even consider it on a W12 Bentley. And I think, probably, the cost of fuel is the least of your worries on a 2005 GT when it comes to running costs.

Keen to do an LPG myself. That's why I came across this post. My main purpose is to save the planet not money.
I would feel very guilty emitting all those bad exhaust things and reducing it would help to salve my conscience. There is someone in UK who does this conversion on the W12 but cost is about £5k - not much when you consider the overall car costs and of course it would extend the pitifully poor range of these lovely cars.

Thats who did my friends conversion. They had it about 2 years getting it to run as there was so many underlying issues with the car, including one incorrect ECU.

As far as I know it runs fine now.
