Hello all.
The guy I work for has a 2011 Mulsanne. We are both having issues with the doors. With the fobs in our pockets we should just be able to walk up to the car and open the door via the handle without first unlocking the car via key fobs. This very rarely works? I took the car to P and A woods last week and no surprises the system worked perfectly every single bloody time!!! The mechanic there spent an hour with me on this and we tried every different scenario possible, but without fail the system worked perfectly, both opening via handle and locking via the black button on the door handle. They'd had the car a week earlier and at that time changed both batteries in the key fobs.
The car now continues to play up. I'd say 9 out 10 times it fails to work as it should.
Before I make another trip to the garage, where I'm sure the system will again work perfectly and make me look very stupid, I was wondering if anybody here has had similar issues?

I have also experienced this on the odd occasion with my CGT. I believe the key needs to be pretty close to the door handle area for it to work properly. I have noticed if the key is not in my trouser pocket, in my briefcase for example, it doesn't always recognise the key as being present. I also imagine it works better with a fresh battery in the key.

From memory it will also not work if it senses 2 key fobs at the same time.

Mine (LHD GT Speed) works perfectly at the drivers door but not by the passenger door. Not sure where the receiver is nor whether it varies depending on LHD or RHD.

Thanks all, at least I know its not just me. I'm 99.9% certain though that when I next take it in for this issue, it will work fine every time.
