My Arnage went in last month for some A/C work (the passenger dash vents didn't work), a failed O2 sensor, and to get a second key (I bought it with only one, and a valet key at that).

Fixing the A/C required removing the front seats and the entire dash.

Fixing the O2 sensor required dropping the rear sub-frame.

Needless to say, we're into some ugly labour charges at this point.

Then Murphy got involved with the keys. Ordered several times, but they didn't work. There was some discussion about perhaps a previous owner had changed the locks, or that Bentley's paperwork was messed up. I never heard what the consensus was, but in the end, they replaced the entire lockset (ignition, glovebox, two doors, boot, and two new master keys).

To be fair, I only got charged for one of the new keys; Bentley picked up the tab on the rest (which I'm sure ran to several thousand pounds).

And hey, at least the bill came due at post-Brexit-vote exchange rates. wink

Cheers,
Jeff.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

Out of interest, what turned out to be the issue with the a/c and vents?

The A/C was a duff stepper motor that controls the air flaps: a £63 part with £3280 in labour to swap it out.

Just got a chance to give the Arnage a good run. I think I'll rename it the "round-pounding thunder-beast". smile
