Sat Nav is easy, simply find the latest set of BMW 'HIGH" data NAV discs you can for your area. This goes for both CD and DVD based Bentley systems.

Hi David,

If you come on Thursday can I try your disc in my SatNav?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew, Flying to Holland on the early flight on Thursday and not back until late on Friday so will miss the Thursday meeting. Happy to meet up for a coffee at Hedge End over the weekend to give the disc a try.

Hi all,
I would be interested to hear from Bentley GT owners, on their experiences with this model. Especially if you own one of the 04/05/06 models. I am negotiating on a lovely 06 GT with low mileage but has not been regularly service - the owner has had it for about 9 years and believes that a yearly service was not necessary due to doing little mileage. So trying to glean as much information before I commit.
Many thanks.
Hi, I have had an 05 GT for five years now, just gone over 60k on the clock and had no problems with it at all. Absolutely wonderful car, to such an extent when I bought an Aston Martin last year I couldn't let the Bentley go at the price offered - so kept it!

I would be more focused on service history than mileage and for this reason would not touch the one you mention in a million years.

Having said that when I had filled the book with Bentley dealer stamps I moved to a local Bentley/RR specialist and am saving a fortune with someone who knows and loves the marque servicing it. Regular servicing is vital, regardless of mileage.

I would advise on getting the Mulliner spec too if you can. This was a must for me. Also there is massive variance in the condition of the leather seats. Avoid the shiny ones!

The only real problem I have is when I don't use the car over summer months and then when I get back in it again various warnings flash up. A check with my specialist (to make sure there is nothing that is real) and then an hour's blast clears this up.

Hope that helps somewhat.

There were a number of mods that could make 07/08 cars more attractive. As noted above there are some faults which have more to do with age/usage than mileage - these are complex cars with lots of electronics (even in the ventilation system) so I would walk away and find another ideally from a main dealer with a warranty to give peace of mind. Also lack of dealer history will really hit what you can sell it for if you do decide you don't like it or it becomes too expensive to run. I love mine tho - and my Astons!!
