Rolls & Bentley Owners Age Brackets
Discussion
Age 54 -Conti GT 04 launch modal -Moonbeam -Portland /2nd Nautic -full burr walnut everywhere .
Got rid of a Ferrari 360 -had a Testarossa before that ,ending 17 years of Ferrari ownership .
I grew up -congested UK roads + speed cameras -killed the fun !
It's nice to hear the music and I like the peace and serenity ,Wife drives it too .( wouldn,t drive the F cars! )
With 4WD and winter tyres just fitted we are off sking -Switzerland in it -doing a "Continental " trip -away for 60 days .Will venture into Italy and South of France .
Ok it's not fling able round corners -boo hoo -but it's a nice place to be for a L ---------ong trip .
I,ve been using it like a Dailey without fear of it dissolving in the salt on the roads or mileage effecting residues .

I had my first R-R at 28 and first Bentley a year later.
Kept looking at your pic and thinking that there's something familiar about it and this eve it clickedYour Shadow is parked outside The Admiral's House- I know the current owner quite well, he's a very successful QC and owns a rather nice.... house where I live as well.
p.s also owns a Continental R which often wafts past....don't think he's on PH though
p.p.s My own is a Silver Shadow 2 and my age is 57. SWIMBO is ten years younger than me does that sqew the standard deviation at all?

Bought a Conti GT when I was 39 in early 2009... few years ( and kids) later sold it to buy a Flying Spur at 44 years old -because I needed a third middle seat in the back. I have other more practical daily drivers, but love the Spur more than GT and use it for long distance trips to the.... continent. Somehow - probably given my age- have got this fixation now to rather than upgrade to a new model, go back in time and buy a late version Arnage (which I am sure attracts an even more mature public).
I was 41 when I bought my first Bentley. She was a 99 ( late ) registered Turbo RT Mulliner 400.
Brilliant car, famous first owner and fully loaded to the hilt with absolutely every extra which is why I bought it. Looked for 3 years at loads of ste examples being offered until I found this one and owned her for 3 trouble free years and showed her at car shows with huge admiration from folk.
Sold to another enthusiastic owner now and being loved continuously.
Was an honour to be able to buy and own such a great last of the hand built Crewe cars.
