so long overdue update, car has been great, really does the job of enjoying part of the car scene with the whole family (2 young children) which has been great. Looking forward to the sun coming out and hopefully getting a proper season under the cars belt. The car has been reliable (done about 1000 miles) barring an amber warning light which didn't affect anything noticeable barring what you could see on the dash.

Never the less the car is now at hanwells having the following precautionary work done as there is no fault code recorded on the ecu.

replacing coolant gasket, sensor and thermostat along with sending the driver information panel to john bowling to have a look and see if there is anything that can be done with that. I have my fingers crossed it doesn't become a crazy expensive wild goose chase.

Anyway will update you when I know what happens next.

Also 80s here, nice car !
Performance Car comment always sticks in my mind, “Dragster disguised as a limo, wicked fun”.

It's us 80s guys that really appreciate these.

When you are moving they are fine to keep up with traffic but the character of the car isn't really shooting off fast off the lights even though they were sold as the performance model, not just because they would probably get beaten by a lot of modern cars but you just don't feel like doing it in the car.

Colour really suits it, and unlike the majority of Bentley Turbo R and T from that era the wheels are actually tasteful.

Landlord of my workshop has one of these, but a ‘short’ one. Not my cup of tetly, but a fine automobile nonetheless.Has had some issues, Air/heater packed up, window regulator rusted. Lack of use stuff mainly. Makes my LS engine Holden appear frugal.
Here it is behind some bikes.

So quick update the car has gone into Hanwell's to have a small mark on the bumper tidied up and have a warning light tackled on the dash which was found to be (fingers crossed) a stored error in the driver's information panel, this had to be sent off to John bowling and I collected the car today. I am hoping this has nailed it and I can enjoy the car this summer. Was great driving back and the car has such a presence! Rubbish iPhone pictures to follow...

The sad day we all thought would never come has arrived. The car is now in the classifieds here. The car is in rude health but after a few years of ownership, time to move onto something else! Some cool pictures in the ad make me think, hmmm am I making the correct decision....
