Bentley GT outside the official dealer network?

Asbo snr is looking at a '56 plate GT Mulliner which is for sale at a fairly reputable looking independent selling various Lambo's/Fezzas/Porkers amidst a fair selection of Crewe's finest.

He is concerned however that the warranty/backup won't be as cast iron as it would otherwise be from an official Bentley dealer.

Does anyone have any thoughts/experiences they'd like to share? Is a GT likely to be worth less in a few years time with a third party warranty as opposed to a Bently one for example?

Thank you for the info.

My experience with Porsche warranties - or should I say, third party Porsche warranties, is that many if not all exclude engine failure and the like (certainly on the GT cars at least). Is this a similar story with Bentley?
