Flying B - thanks for your post and congratulations on your purchase! I've recently found this photo which I suspect must be your car:

This car seems to be the one used in Hooper brochures of the time:

UK registered but LHD - anyone know where it is now?

Gday all,

FlyingB top work on obtaining SCBZR03B7KCX25450.

It certainly looks impressive. I wrote about your car when it was for sale here: http://www.bentleyspotting.com/2008/11/bentley-hoo...
I managed to get into contact with an ex-Hooper & Co. employee for more info, and also obtained a photograph of your car when it was being built!

This red one, SCBZRO4A5LCH33427 was sold for £28,750 inclusive of Buyer's Premium. Ian from Montague & Company who repaired and updated the Hooper sent me some hi res photos of the car that can be viewed here: http://www.bentleyspotting.com/2009/12/bentley-hoo...

I have managed to write a number of posts about the 2 door Hooper & Co. cars, and collect a selection of photographs.

Here is a select list:

If any one has any other photos or info and the like, please post it! I am quite keen in watching the Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson reviewed the Hooper 2 door Turbo R.

Jordan.

Barons have just auctioned a Hooper Turbo R 4-door:

"...here is a rare example of the fabulous Turbo R with special Hooper coachwork and special order St. James red hide interior. One of very few and offering outstanding value, when you consider that the car cost £165,000 when new"

I was at the auction and had a good look at the car in question. It went for just over £9K, I believe. However, the history was patchy (nothing post 2006 that I could see) and the car needed a LOT of bodywork putting right.

Barons offered the same car for auction in 2007 but it failed to sell at that time. Unfortunately it sounds like it's received little care and attention since then...

The Turbo R was a no-sale.

The Empress was sold for a total of £49,900, including premium.

Christies auctioned the same Empress II for GBP37,600 in April 2005 - increase may just about cover running costs for the past six years.

I remember that car from 2003, living in south Belgravia.
