Warning light came on this morning on the way to work, got home tonight had a look, and there is a sodding nail in it,what's the best thing to do? If i have to buy a pair of runflats rather than 1,will it be cheaper to buy 4 non-RF's than 2 RF's.

Contrary to popular belief you could get it repaired.

Depends where the nail is and how far you have driven with it deflated.

ASK FIRST as not all tyre places will entertain you.

Four non RFs will be cheaper and will be a better ride too. (Used to own an e90 330d and changed to normal tyres with a can of Tyre Foam for any emergencies) which I didn't use in 30000 miles with the car.

Correct. They can and should be repaired without quibble, provided the nail is in the specified area that is allowed.

As said, non-runflats are better ride and naturally cheaper. Falkens are good.

One way out, if the tyre has plenty of tread and good make Dunlop 01 or similar, stick it on ebay and get enough back to buy your new non-runflat!

Crikey, £225?!?

That's a lot more than I was quoted recently... The joys of local independents not charging an arm and a leg.

Those Pirelli's are awful tyres, if sticking with run flats I cant recommend the Continental ContactSport 3's enough - although they are very soft....

Camskill usually one of the cheapest but that Kfit price looks too good to be true.
£130 odd at Camskill.

But I'm not a Pirelli nor runflat fan anymore so doesn't matter. wink

Just curious.
How much is it today to have a puncture mended in a Runflat (normal simple puncture, small nail in centre of tread)?

Place I normally go in warrington charges £15 to fix a puncture in a runflat.
The Pirellis were on buy 3 get 1 free and I have to agree with the guy above they are hideous things. I have reverted to Dunlops, much nicer.
