Hi

Nothing particularly out of the ordinary here- a MINI Cooper S like the hundreds one presumably sees every day. However I have only had it a couple of weeks and today I spent a lot of time cleaning it so I thought I'd post up a few pics.

It's a late MK1 CS with JCW suspension and airbox, usual bits and bobs and a HK stereo which I'm especially pleased with as it sounds pretty good without being bass heavy.

Thus far I've just replaced all four tyres with Conti Sportcontact 3s and I'm looking to add iPod integration to the standard head unit and am eyeing up a GRS intercooler and reduced pulley.

Problems thus far- well, the coolant was way down which I noticed after I bought it. Bit of an odd one as the top-up I added disappeared a few days later so I've topped it up again and that seems to have done the trick but I'm keeping it under close scrutiny in case I have a leaky thermostat housing (and a couple of Evian bottles of the appropriate coolant/water mix in the boot!).

Looking nice & shiney thumbup

The reduced pulley will definately put a bigger smile on your face..

Keep an eye on the expansion tank too, they've been known to leak at the join in the middle, cheap & fairly easy fix too..;)

Looks nice and clean example. How is the ride with the contis on? I am thinking of putting a new expansion bottle on, just as a peace of mind thing on ours as sometimes I get a whisper of coolant although the level doesnt move.
