My Daughters 04 Cooper Cabriolet has a problem with the roof- after an intermitent problem which was related to the parcel shelf swithes not letting the roof fully open it has now opened but will not close. There is no power evident ie. no clicks or motors trying to move something. I have checked and cleaned the fuses and they are all good. I wondered if there's a relay or a separate fuse hidden somewhere I need to check - Any ideas please? I also checked the operating switch and it is working OK using a meter across the pins. I've opened and closed the windows which is supposed to "re-set" something but still as dead as dodo. Why no power ?
Hope it stays dry a bit longer !!
Thanks

I did double check the switches related to the parcel shelf and locking lever - these should prevent the roof fully opening which it is now.
I'm having it diagnosed today hopefully by BMW specialists (not at BMW) so might get some sort of idea as to what has failed.

Thanks for reply

It could be one of the cables which closes the roof.....
