Giving up the cooper S - valuation
Discussion
After 114000 mile I am thinking of selling my 2003 Cooper S, Grey Metallic,. It has a full main dealer service history. New Tyres on the front, Supercharger replaced under warranty 6 months ago, drivers window motor replaced.
What do you think it is worth?
I need something economical and am looking at DS3 Diesel's

I am selling mine too which is a 53 Cooper S in Grey, mine has 109k and has the chilli pack so Harmon Kardon etc and a really high spec. I have advertised it for £3500 and all i seem to be getting is traders offering around the £2800 mark.
Its a tough one to judge but i would say its worth around mid three for yours

Mine still drives fantastically, pulls hard in all the gears and even though its done 109k its in better condition then some i looked at with only 50k miles on it.
Like most cars it all comes down to how well they have been looked after.
PM me if you'd like £3k for it. Like most cars it all comes down to how well they have been looked after.
Cheers
Luke
Thanks for the feedback, i was thinking around 3750....ps.. even with high miles it drives fine only significant issue was the supercharger replaced under warranty. The bottom line is good maintenance, which hasnt cost the earth. I am looking to change to diesel for better economy hence the change.
High miles scare people.
I'm realistic that my 125k Grey 53 plate Cooper S is worth very little.
It still drives well but has loads of niggly superficial bits that need doing.
Any dealer who offers you a low value on a nice one will only adjust the mileage anyway.
When not justifying a 135i as a replacement I am now thinking Volvo C30 Diesel.

Sold mine yesterday, finally had a guy come and take a look at it, the first person to come down in person, others just called up and asked what my best price was.
This chap had a look at it and actually said it was in far far better condition and drove better then some other he had been looking at which had only done 70-80k.
He offered me £50 below my asking price and then said actually no, the car is in such good condition and has such good history that i will give you the full amount.
Sad to see it go as it was great fun, however i always knew that it would sell all i needed was someone to come and take a look at it.

Why in what way? seem Pretty normal to me i spent 3 months looking to to r53 before i bought one and i think i paid a fair price or the condition of the car and the mileage
Considering mine had done nearly 100k more then your one and sold it fir 2k less then what you paid. You one was pretty cheap in my opinion.Gassing Station | New MINIs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
