2007 Cooper D hesitation

Our 2007 Cooper D seems to be a little hesitant when setting off gently, particularly when cold. We get going, up to about walking pace, but it then seems to momentarily cut the power.
I don't drive this car very often, so I'm not sure if I'm imagining it, if I'm just too quick off the clutch, or if they all do it and we need to live with it. Mrs Roadster25 (who drives it daily) thinks it is pausing too, so it may not be me.
Hopefully nothing major, but it is under warranty. I just want to be certain there is a problem before making a fuss, relations with Sytner are becoming rather strained already...
