So now I have some spends from Christmas burning a hole in my back pocket and a exhaust that is on its last legs - it's upgrade time. biggrin I have been looking at Scorpion and Milltek but am looking for some recommendations. My budget is up to £500 including fitting. I don't want to sound all boy racer chavtastic but I still want the pops and bangs. So what are you running?

I've got a Milltek (+ Milltek manifold), don't find it to noisy/chavvy, haven't had any complaints from the neighbours either laugh

Here's some footage from a charity track day I did at the Top Gear track http://www.youtube.com/user/Hartge210?feature=mhee... (please excuse the commentary from Hartge jr..lol)

There's quite a few more clips of Milltek's on youtube wink

They were already fitted when I bought the car;)

You can pick up a good second hand Milltek & get it fitted for less than £500. Brand new would be a different matter though....

Lohen are currently doing a discount on Milltek which has put them into the price bracket - just. Nice sounding exhaust Hartge - even with the added commentary. biggrin

I have been quoted £828 for a JCW replacement from a MINI dealer and a Scorpion fitted is around £300. There is such a huge difference in prices. I have checked with insurance and they are happy with a non OEM exhaust so that is not an issue either.

I think I will hit Milltek if it is the best my budget will allow. Cheers guys. thumbup

Look at buying a decent used miltek or jcw system to keep within your budget.

Cooper S's pop and bang quite nicely as it is, a janspeed or miltek manifold will help this further, but is out of your budget for now tbh.

Not the best video, but this is my standard JCW after a couple of laps of the Evo Triangle!

My exhaust was really borked and blowing and eventually I gave in and got local garage (none specialist as I don't know/trust any locally) to fit a OEM system. £740 cost.
