Hi,

I have a new iPhone 4S and a Clubman Cooper S '09 plate.

I previously used a memory stick in the USB port on the dash to access music, (so I know the USB port is OK), but when I connect the iPhone the car doesn't seem to recognise it, whatever I do.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

Think you need the y cable.

Deffo need a Y cable. £30-40 off ebay for a genuine BMW part and allows you to "drive" itunes from the dash.

There is also the snap in adapter if you have an armrest and media which hides the phone away, but that is very expensive. It has a fan in it to cool the phone down and it links the phone to the car's aerial for better reception. Don't make the mistake of buying one of these from ebay as you need to give your chassis number to the dealer to get you the right one I think.
