Mini Cooper S Cambelt

Hi,just wondering,do any of you guys know what is the age and/or mileage reccomended to get the cambelt done and cost. Thanks

I don't know the interval but I think the belt that drives the charger will need replacing at some point.

I was told that this needs changing around 85k miles.

I think the charger pulley is an inspection II service item so is due at 60k. I know the aux drive belt is changed then

Timing chain is due at 120k I think i read - not sure that happens all too often tho...

Charger belt should ideally be done at 70K if you are lucky enough to have a charger that lasts for 70K that is.

Many are still going strong with over 100k on them.

The charger belt gets changed every inspection service, so roughly every 30,000 miles. But i'd change it more regulary as they stretch over time

She failed her M.O.T this morning corroded brake pipe,so shouldn't be too costly to sort out thankfully .
