I am thinking about a Countryman Cooper D as a next company car.

What are they like? I imagine a more grown up Mini hatch with added comfort and size?

What extras are worth having? The web configurator is kaput at the moment.

What's the ride like on 17 vs 18s?

Like a MINI hatch, but slower, heavier, less economical, and just a bit ugly, imho.

For added comfort & space, consider a Cooper SD Clubman instead. Much faster, much more fun to drive, and the same price & co2.

The web configurator always seems to be kaput at night - should be back again in the morning.

Chili pack worth having, but resist sport suspension & 18's & runflats - they handle well enough as standard, and big heavy 18's & runflats will ruin the ride.

Make sure you test drive both before deciding, and then order the Cooper SD Clubman to really enjoy your driving! smile
