Mini towing a small caravan

Has anyone towed a small caravan with a mini. I have a clubman s and quite like the idea of having a caravan.

I was looking at getting a campervan but with me getting a caterham this summer the extra cost of tax and mots mean that a small caravan would be a better option.

Can anyone give me some info.

I think you'll find it's probably illegal to tow a caravan with a Mini. Take a look at the handbook for towing weights.

I think it's a maximum of 500Kg unbraked or 750Kg braked...

That's alright then as the caravan I am looking at is 750kg.

I have towed a fair amount with a mini but as said a lot of them do not have the regulation to tow. Still kits out there. The clubman and coopers / one all can tow legally. They tow very well too

Programme on TV with Adrian Edmondson towing a caravan with a mini on a few weeks ago, so not that illegal etc
