Are there any? I need to find a specialist for servicing and to diagnose an airbag warning light fault on a 2002 Cooper, since the two different main dealers I have used in the past have both been worse than useless.

It's a VERY common fault in early Mini's and E46 BMW's. Caused by faulty wiring in the seatbelt pre-tensioner connection under the front passenger seat.

It's a bugger to fix and actually stay fixed. Not an MOT failure point however, just annoying. I'm not sure however whether the fault means that the airbags won't deploy in the event of an accident.

Not sure about London Mini specialists, you could try:

The London Mini Centre Ltd. 125 Lower Richmond Road Putney London SW15 1EX (sales) 020 8788 6036 (service) 020 8788 3600 URL: http://www.londonmini.com email: info@londonmini.com

Cheers, will give them a call. I think though that having warning lights on is about to become an MOT failure issue, if it isn't already, which is a major PITA especially for difficult and expensive to cure electronic glitches!

I know it's a little bit out of London, but SVG (Station View Garage) are highly recommended by many members of Surrey New MINI. They're located in Dorking, right next to the station pretty much smile
