The impractical half of me is tempted to actually hang on to the Elise and pick up a GP as well.

The common sense bit of me says no, sell the Elise first.

Ah fu(k it, I think I'll just buy a Lambo (I wish).

I have an Exige S1,Gen 1 997 GT3RS and Mini GP and the Mini is up with both of those in fun factor and maybe the quickest of all on B-roads.

It turned out to be a really nice car in great condition, well cared for, so I made an offer so time will tell if I end up in it or not.

Maybe .... smile

Yeah the 111R is staying, well for now at least.

I'll see how it goes and if one or the other of them isn't being used a few months from now I may offload it but for now they are both staying.

I got a really tidy example with about 37,000 kms (about 22,000 miles) on it with a full service history from a guy with a small baby who needed to get a sensible replacement for it ..... he just bought a "sensible" Range Rover Sport.

Hopefully I'll mind it as well as he did but for now I'm just going to drive it and have fun.

Assuming it was the one in the classifieds, that did look a very well kept example. Of the ones I have tested, I have been very impressed with how they have worn their miles.

Enjoy smile. I can barely wait until I make the swap biggrin

No it wasn't on here (I think, if it was I didn't see it).

It was an original Irish car and was advertised on a few of the Irish sites and that's where I spotted it.

The seller delivered it to me on Friday and said that the spin from his house to where we met (roughly 1 hour and 45 mins) was the longest single spin he'd done in it.

I've already done a few longer spins than that in it and after the dirty weather we've had here over the weekend it's absolutely filthy now.

There is no doubt that they are a well put together car but I agree with what oher people have said in various threads about the run-flats ... they are horrible on anything but a perfect surface and they will probably be the only thing I'll need to do to the car.

Well that and wash it.

Fitted Eibach springs and Koni FSD's to mine and they transformed the ride and handling even with run-flats.

Ride and handling both much improved. It lost the "bouncing" which all BMW hard sprung cars have.Cost I forget but I did it via Lohen so they will know-definitely worth every penny.

How's this working out ?

I'm starting to like the idea of a bit more comfort.
