I have two issues on my 09 Cooper D that I need to solve.

First is a steering wheel wobble between 30 and 40mph. The wheel moves either side of centre a little and you can feel a little bit of resistance in it. Nothing above 40 at all.

Second is a dull knocking sound at the rear, not when going over proper 'bumps' and pothole, but just over uneven surfaces, knobbly tarmac.

Can any one offer any advice?

Thanks

Try getting the front wheels balanced. Check the rear anti roll bar bushes.

New front tyres, balancing and tracking done; wobble gone.

When the temperature picked up a little a week ago the rear clonk went away. Tyre place reckon drop links need doing. I think they are trying it on.
