R52 wing mirror backs

I`ve recently picked up a 2007 Convertible Cooper S (R52), its got chequered flag wing mirrors, which aren't my taste, any tips on where I can pick up some replacement mirror backs/caps, ideally gloss black, or cool blue (body colour).

I`ve had a look on ebay and trying to avoid buying a whole wing mirror unit, with a scratched up back.

from looking at what I`ve got, its a cap that glued over a standard back, so don't want to buy the stick on covers eithers.

There are many places mini spares etc

they are only clipped on, just whip them off and have them painted or off to BMW - also many people will sell them but I would just paint what you have or apply a decal over them

thanks, but the current mirrors already have a 2nd layer over a standard back, which is chequered, hence I don't think I can put another layer on, and I`m not sure how well they will paint.

I think I have sources some cool blue ones, else I`ll keep a look out on ebay, have picked up a drivers side mirror in glass black, so just need the other side to make a pair in the cool blue ones don't turn out to be right.

may be a few ££ more, at least you know there aren't any broken clips/scratches and you won't have to pay postage etc
