Hi All,

Looking at a Dec 2011 1.6D Cooper and would like some real world mpg figures.

130 mile a day commute, mostly motorway and 60 mph A roads.

Honest John website figures suggest 56mpg.

Is this about right?

Thanks in advance.

Thats about what I get in my Clubman Cooper D according to the OBC. My commute is 60 miles a day on A-roads and dual carriageway.

My petrol Cooper used to average 36mpg with 95% 22 mile b-road commute. When I used it for the occasional 200 mile motorway trip from Thames Valley to Norwich this would only improve to about 38mpg. If I thrashed it around it didn't drop much below about 34mpg. It seems it just didn't change much however I drove it.

Obviously this is a response to kapiteinlangzaam post, not the OP wink

Not that much difference between the petrol and diesel according to people's estimate. My 2007 One 1.4 lifetime average is around 44. If I do a M4 run to Heathrow, 60m return and difficult to exceed 70 due to traffic, I get about 51/52.
