Work out what you want to do. Got a unit from Ebay for £30 and reads basic codes and resets all faults. But there is a lot more info to be had and a lot more to pay. Some of the laptop systems are good value and offer a lot more options.

Any links to the one you refer to?

I have just done an oil service and want to reset that and remove the usual air bag light.

You won't be able to reset the airbag light without a B200 tool like this one.

Everything else can be cleared with a cheap eBay OBDII reader. Scangauge is quite good if you want live information and to be able to clear fault codes.

Service intervals are reset using these instructions.
