Bumper drop

What's the fix for this problem, passenger side bumper as dropped to leave a gap as shown in the photo.

There is a type of flat plastic spring you can see when you lift the bonnet on both sides but niether are broken, is there another fixing to do an adjustment to the bumper height.

It's a 2003 mini cooper hatch.

The top of the bumpe sits on adjustable mounting plates both sides of the bumper. These will need adjusting. Also check all other mounting hardware. If you are still stuck, I could probaly scan a page or two from my Bentley Publishing manual (assuming it covers this) and post up a link.

Are you sure the bonnet is shut correctly???

That is a good point - this gap could be caused by the bumper dropping or the bonnet not closing correctly.

Bonnet is shut properly, found the fix on the attached link, 3rd & 4th picture down shows it.
