20mm wheel spacers

I bought a new set of 17" alloys for my wife's Mini Cooper S (R53) and wanted to buy these:

I was going to order the AP brake kit, but emailed Minisport first, to make sure they fit.

I was told that they won't (I find that odd, as our MG has 16" wheels with AP callipers and 304mm discs!), and I would need 20mm wheel spacers, which they tell me cannot be sourced any longer.

Is this true, can I not buy 20mm wheel spacers for an R53?
