Driving in the wife's Mini today we turned on the heated windscreen and discovered that when switched on it caused a strange wobbly visual effect - much like looking through a heat haze. Both of us noticed the effect and commented on it at the same time. I switched screen on/off several times and always created te same effect Anyone else noticed this - try and and see !!.

Is it getting too hot?

On my R53 you couldn't even tell it was on by touching the glass, I think it only gets slightly warm

I noticed this the other day on my wife's Countryman, it's really strange and doesn't happen on Range Rovers or Transits which have the same style of screen heating.
