I picked up a JCW Coupe at the weekend. I love it but as we all know from the countless "what tyre" threads, the ride isn't great on the RFTs is it?!

I've narrowed my search down to the Sport Maxx RT due to...

- Apparently a quiet tyre (rated at 66db)
- Apparently B rated for efficiency
- Apparently pretty good in the wet
- Apparently very good in the dry

I say apparently because as usual, one review says the above and then the next counteracts it!

I do need to consider fuel efficiency as I do quite a lot of (mixed) driving, but I didn't buy a sporty car to nanny it around, so I just want a good balance overall. I've got Goodyear Eagle F1 assy 2's on a more powerful car but they feel bit squishy sometimes, hence the thought of trying Dunlops.

I had then in my Alfa 156 and was very happy with them. Different sort of car to a mini though...

My coopers S has the OEM Bridgestone potenza (non-run flat) on at the mo, when the time comes I will probably replace with continental sport contact 5's.

The CS5's keep coming up in reviews so they're also in mind. I'm a bit sick of Bridgestones as they always seem to be very harsh over the 10 potholes per square metre we have in Manchester!
